Sybil is an experienced yoga teacher with a focus on Slow Therapeutic movements and breath practices. Sybil will guide us through easy to follow stretches to loosen up the tight spots to bring more vitality to the spine needed to sit through meditation sessions.

Sybil Nance is a Yoga Educator and Therapist newly transplanted in the Mobile, AL area. Sybil, Canadian born and educated has lived in Oregon for 19 years and Charlotte NC for 4 prior to this recent move. Sybil has worked both part time (while raising three children) and full time in the health and wellness industry for 39 years. For many years as a professional Caterer, a pharmaceutical sales representative, and Yoga Teacher, international trainer and now Therapist. Sybil has Lead retreats and teacher training internationally for 20 years. Her influences were felt in countries as far afield as Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, South America, Canada and Great Britain. Most recently Sybil opened a smaller boutique yoga studio in North Charlotte creating a customized format to help her clients reduce stress, pain, and often work induced illnesses attributed to overwhelm.
Sybil is an author and inspirational speaker leading quarterly workshops, retreats and seminars both nationally and internationally. Wherever Sybil lands and calls home she creates a strong following of students interested in slowing down connecting inward and seeking the deeper spiritual questions on being, living and service to community.
Megrez or “Meg" is a long-time student of meditation and mindfulness, who has studied under many different techniques and traditions. Since 2016, she has been regularly attending classes at the Meditation Center of Alabama. In addition to participating in the meditation sessions, she leads stretches before the Wednesday class in order to help the class relax their bodies and their minds.
For 15 years Megrez has been working in the fitness industry. She has worked as a performer and instructor in dance and in aerial arts and holds multiple fitness certifications as a personal trainer with ISSA and other organizations. Her main focus is to work with people to strengthen their mind-body connection through healthy movement and meditation.
Recently, Megrez spent 3 weeks at the Dhammakaya International Meditation Center in Azusa, California. Part of her time there was dedicated to becoming a Dhamma Trainee and the rest was spent volunteering in the garden, studying dhamma, and practicing chanting and meditation.
Sherine Roth practiced ballet, gymnastics and earned a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts. She tried yoga as a way to ease back into exercising and grew fond of it ever since. Roth now shares her devotion to yoga through teaching it and loves witnessing yoga enhancing the lives and mindsets of her students.
Lar Nimit - Qigong Instructor
Sivaporn Nimityongskul, also known as Lar, is the director and founder of the Meditation Center of Alabama. Lar has over 25 years of meditation experience in various methods but practices the Middle Way Meditation method. Lar runs Bangkok Thai Cuisine. She has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand and a Master's degree in Economics from Western Michigan University. She is a certified public accountant. Lar wishes to spread true inner peace and happiness through meditation.
